Suspect you might find the website is a bit clearer now than it was back when you posted this as we’ve come a way in simplifying the message.

The explanation that seems to work better is more practical — “pay for stuff the network needs.” It’s technically the same criticism (other designs have economic problems that incentivize the wrong behavior) but it makes more intuitive sense to people to say, “Saito incentivizes people to run user-facing infrastructure” instead of saying “other blockchains have trouble paying for that.”
